The advertising and creative industry’s biggest week — the 73rd International Festival of Creativity at the Palais des Festivals, with the world’s agency networks, brand CMOs and tech giants taking over the Croisette, the Carlton terrace and a harbour full of hospitality yachts. It funnels the same high-spend traffic into Nice (LFMN) as the Film Festival and the Monaco GP — one of the densest private-jet corridors in Europe.

The route · where attendees fly from

Where most legs originate

Delegates fly in from the global ad capitals — London and Paris above all, then New York (the US networks travel deep) and Milan. Almost everything lands at Nice and transfers the last stretch to Cannes.

Getting in · the part nobody tells you

Nice is the gateway; Cannes has its own small field

June is peak Riviera — Nice runs near capacity and slots tighten. Cannes-Mandelieu sits minutes from the Palais but takes light jets only, in daylight, on a short runway.

LAND HERE Where you actually land

  • LFMNNice Côte d’Azur — the main gateway for every cabin size; helicopter or chauffeur covers the last 30 km to Cannes.
  • LFMDCannes-Mandelieu — ~10 min from the Palais, but light jets and turboprops only, daylight, short runway.
  • LFTZLa Môle (St-Tropez) — distant overflow; only worth it if you’re west along the coast.

WATCH OUT What catches people out

  • NICE SLOTSPeak Riviera June — Nice slots and FBO parking tighten; book the arrival window early.
  • MANDELIEU LIMITSCannes’ own field is light-jet, daylight, short-runway only — a heavy jet cannot use it.
  • CROISETTE GRIDLOCKFestival week chokes the coast road; the Nice→Cannes drive can crawl — the helicopter shuttle is why it exists.
  • YACHT BERTHSHospitality-yacht berths in the Vieux Port are booked a year out; arrange tender access in advance.

Nice to the Croisette

Helicopter Nice → Cannes~7 min €160–280 ppThe Riviera classic — over the gridlock onto the Cannes heliport.
Chauffeur~35–50 min €130–240Coast road — fine off-peak, slow mid-festival.
Cannes-Mandelieu → Palais~10 min €50–90If you came in by light jet, you’re effectively there.
Plan it like this

Land Nice, helicopter the last leg

It’s the move the festival runs on: clear the Nice FBO, step onto the shuttle, and you’re on the Cannes heliport in about seven minutes — over a coast road that can otherwise eat an hour.

1 · Empty leg into Nice (LFMN)
2 · FBO, then helicopter shuttle
3 · Cannes heliport — minutes from the Croisette
What it costs

Empty leg vs full charter, plus the transfer

The European legs into Nice price like any Riviera charter; the value is in the post-festival Friday repositioning back to London and Paris.

Route → gatewayEmpty legFull charterPer person ÷6
London → NiceEGLF → LFMN €7,000–12,000€14,000–20,000€1,000–2,000
Paris → NiceLFPB → LFMN €5,000–9,000€10,000–15,000€850–1,500
New York → NiceKTEB → LFMN €38,000–52,000€75,000–100,000€3,200–4,400
Sanity-check any "deal" against the benchmark:   Light jet €3,000–4,500/hr · super-mid €6,000–9,000/hr · London–Nice is ~1h45.
Add the transfer:   Add the Nice→Cannes helicopter (~7 min) or a chauffeur (~35–50 min on the coast road).

Questions · Cannes Lions specifics

Good to know before you book

Can I fly straight into Cannes?
Only in a light jet or turboprop, in daylight — Cannes-Mandelieu (LFMD) has a short runway and no heavy-jet capability. It puts you ~10 minutes from the Palais. Everything larger lands at Nice (LFMN) and transfers in.
Helicopter or car from Nice?
The helicopter shuttle is ~7 minutes onto the Cannes heliport and is the festival-week default; the chauffeured coast-road drive is 35–50 minutes and can crawl badly mid-week.
How does this differ from the Cannes Film Festival page?
Same airports, same transfers — different week and a different crowd. Cannes Lions is the advertising and creative industry in June; the Film Festival is May. The logistics are identical, which is exactly why one Nice route serves both.
When do empty legs appear?
Densest in the few days either side of the festival, on the London, Paris and Milan hops. It overlaps the start of the Riviera summer, so legs move quickly — a route alert is the way to catch one.
