The route · where attendees fly from

Where most legs originate

Vegas pulls private traffic from across the US — Los Angeles above all, plus New York, Dallas, Miami and Scottsdale. LA–Vegas is one of the densest business-jet hops in the world.

Getting in · the part nobody tells you

Three fields, and a reservation system on race weekend

The valley’s fields fill to record levels for the Grand Prix. Harry Reid runs a business-jet reservation and many aircraft drop and reposition; Henderson and North Las Vegas take the business traffic.

LAND HERE Where you actually land

  • KHNDHenderson Executive — the dedicated business-aviation field, ~20 min to the Strip; the natural choice if you hold a slot.
  • KLASHarry Reid — the main airport beside the Strip; business-jet slots are reservation-controlled and parking maxes out on race weekend.
  • KVGTNorth Las Vegas — the overflow business field northwest of the city.

WATCH OUT What catches people out

  • SLOT RESERVATIONSHarry Reid runs a strict business-jet reservation for Grand Prix weekend — no reservation, no slot, no exceptions.
  • PARKING MAXES OUTRamp space across all three fields fills weeks ahead; many jets drop and reposition to California or Phoenix.
  • STRIP CLOSURESThe street circuit closes Strip roads — transfers need the race-week routing or a helicopter.

Airport to the Strip

Chauffeur from Henderson~20 min US$140–280Straight to the Strip hotels outside the closure window.
Helicopter~8 min US$900–1,800Over the closures onto a Strip-adjacent pad on race nights.
Chauffeur from Harry Reid~15 min US$120–240Closest field, but the busiest on race weekend.
Plan it like this

Beating the closures

Land Henderson, clear the FBO in minutes, and a chauffeur — or a helicopter on race nights — has you Strip-side before the circuit roads shut.

1 · Reserved slot into KHND / KLAS
2 · FBO, then chauffeur or helicopter
3 · Strip hotel, ahead of the closures
What it costs

Empty leg vs full charter, plus the transfer

Domestic legs into Vegas price like any US charter; the value sits on the Sunday-night and Monday repositioning legs back to California.

Route → gatewayEmpty legFull charterPer person ÷6
Los Angeles → Las VegasKVNY → KHND US$4,500–8,000US$9,000–14,000US$750–1,300
New York → Las VegasKTEB → KLAS US$13,000–20,000US$28,000–40,000US$2,100–3,600
Sanity-check any "deal" against the benchmark:   Light jet US$3,500–5,000/hr · super-mid US$6,000–9,000/hr · LA–Vegas is about an hour.
Add the transfer:   Add a short chauffeur or a race-night helicopter; Henderson is ~20 min from the Strip.
