The route · where attendees fly from

Where most legs originate

The Yacht Show pulls the international yachting set — London, Geneva, Dubai and the US. Almost everything routes through Nice, then helicopter to Monaco.

Getting in · the part nobody tells you

Monaco has no runway — the helicopter is the move

There is no airport in the principality. Everyone lands at Nice and takes the seven-minute helicopter along the coast — the single most efficient airport transfer in Europe.

LAND HERE Where you actually land

  • LFMNNice Côte d’Azur — the gateway for all aircraft sizes; dedicated business terminal and the Monaco helicopter shuttle on-site.
  • LNMCMonaco Heliport (Fontvieille) — not an aeroplane field; the helicopter arrival point, minutes from Port Hercule.

WATCH OUT Where show week bites

  • NICE SLOTSShow week tightens Nice slots and parking; build the slot early and expect to reposition the aircraft after drop-off.
  • HELI BOOKINGSThe Nice–Monaco helicopter shuttle books out during the show — reserve the seat with the leg, not on arrival.
  • NO JET TO MONACOYou cannot fly a jet into Monaco — the heliport is the only aviation point, reached from Nice.

Plan it like this

The seven-minute arrival

Land Nice, walk to the heliport shuttle, and you are stepping onto the Monaco quay seven minutes later — the most efficient transfer on the Riviera.

1 · Leg into Nice (LFMN) — any aircraft size
2 · Monacair helicopter shuttle (book with the leg)
3 · Drop at Monaco heliport, minutes from Port Hercule
What it costs

Empty leg vs full charter, plus the transfer

An empty leg into Nice plus the helicopter shuttle into Monaco lands well under full charter — and the per-person maths is compelling for a group on a yacht.

Route → gatewayEmpty legFull charterPer person ÷6
London → NiceEGLF → LFMN £5,500–11,000£14,000–20,000£900–1,800
Geneva → NiceLSGG → LFMN €3,800–7,000€9,000–14,000€630–1,150
Sanity-check any "deal" against the benchmark:   Super-mid €5,000–7,000/hr · heavy €6,000–12,000/hr · the Geneva–Nice hop is under an hour.
Add the transfer:   Add €160–320 per person for the Nice–Monaco helicopter shuttle.

Questions · Monaco Yacht Show specifics

Good to know before you book

Can I fly into Monaco?
Not in a jet — the principality has no aeroplane runway. You land at Nice (LFMN) and take the seven-minute Monacair helicopter shuttle to Monaco’s heliport, minutes from Port Hercule.
Is the helicopter really necessary?
It is the fastest and most reliable option, especially in show-week traffic when the coast road can take 45 minutes or more. Reserve the seat with your leg.
When do empty legs into Nice appear?
Frequently across September, clearing fast around the show. A route alert into the 23–26 September window beats waiting for an exact-date listing.
